I was car hunting a few years ago after my 1991
Oldsmobile Delta 88 died. I tried on a number of vehicles and did
not want a mini van...uggg. I snuggled into a 1996 Bonneville and
I find the Leg Room ample and Head Room acceptable. I have the seat
as low as it will go so that I can see out the windshield okay.
The car carries my 285 pound frame around comfortably. I will be
looking again in about a year and if you are a tall man looking
for a used car that fits I recommend the late 90s Pontiac Bonneville.
Just make sure that all the electrical and brake cylinder problems
GM cars are prone to have already happened and are fixed before
you purchase. It is also a good looking car in my opinion.

We just got an email from a tall driver who traded
his Bonneville for a Volvo S80.

I have struggled with the issue of leg room for
years. I am 6ft7 and about 230 pounds. Comfortable cars for me are
the Buick Lesabre or Park Avenue. In addition, the
Dodge Intrepid is very comfortable. Both are front wheel
drive and do great in the snow. The Dodge Intrepid is the only car
I have driven where I actually have to move the seat up a bit. Each
of these have some leg room in the back too. Both get very good
mileage. The Lesabre I have now gets 26 mpg on the highway. Two
other cars with leg room are the Oldsmobile Ciera and Chevy
Lumina. Each of them get good mileage. Luminas will get almost
30 mpg and they are very comfortable. I believe the Buick Century
would be a good option too.

I'm 6'7", and just bought a new car. Started
off by looking at your site, but I don't think I saw it on your
site - - a 2004 Volvo S80. I am very comforable in this car.
Plenty of leg room for my 35" inseam legs - - in fact, I have
to move the seat up!
Head room is also great. I can sit up straight with no problem.
Even better, it has a sunroof - something I never thought I'd be
able to have in a car!
This car is classified as a mid-sized, so its alot easier to park
than the car it replaced, a Pontiac Bonneville. Plus it has alot
more head and leg room than the Bonneville.
The downside to it is that it probably isn't great for a big family
- not alot of leg room in the back seat. But, thats not a problem
for me.
