Evolution of The Height Site
The Height Site is the most comprehensive online
resource guide for tall men, women, and teens. The idea for an archive
of information dedicated to the topic of height evolved out of an
online search for information and a realization that a centralized
archive of resources was missing.
Really tall and short people are, out of necessity,
used to shopping via catalogs. As the Internet has evolved to augment
or replace catalog shopping, it makes sense that people would look
for more information online.
The first incarnation of The Height Site was put
online in March of 2002. Later that year, when our current domain
name became available, we migrated the content and expanded it.
Originally started as a one man operation, this project has expanded
to a 'staff' of five volunteers. The addition of women and geographically
disparate freelancers has given our newest version of the site a
broader appeal and more of a general lifestyle focus. It's equal
parts eZine and community blog. We hope you find it as useful as
we do.

Resource Inclusion Policy
We depend on submissions and feedback from Height
Site visitors both tall and short and all we require for inclusion
in our directories is an email with a positive review of a product
or service or a request for inclusion so our staff can ensure proper
placement.
To remain a fair and impartial resource for height
related information, we've decided to list products and services
free of charge. We have recently begun to offer paid
listings. They are clearly marked so that readers can differentiate
between all types of listings.
Broken Links Policy
We check all the links before they're added to
this Site, but the Internet is ever changing and pages get moved
or removed periodically. We do our best to 'reprint' some articles
on our own pages, but due to bizantine copyright restrictions, that
may not be possible for every article. If you've found an article
link or a Web Site link that no longer works,
with the link information. Thanks.
A Site for everyone
We don't have a lot of time to dig up new material,
and we rely heavily on submissions from reader like you to keep
this project going. Everyone involved with the Height Site is over
six feet tall and all of us are working on a freelance, volunteer
basis.
The Height Site is equal parts eZine and community
blog. It is basically a labour of love to ensure that everyone affected
by or interested in height can use the Internet more efficiently
to find valuable information and resources online.
